Terms of service

1. Provider and scope

Statement Converter (https://statements.relaystudio.org) is provided by Mathias Gort, MSc, Relay Studio, Badidastraße 81, 6811 Göfis, Austria. These terms apply to use with and without an account.

2. Service

The service reads transactions and balances from uploaded PDF bank statements and provides them as Excel, CSV, CAMT.053 or MT940. Every conversion is checked against the statement's opening and closing balance and the result is shown.

Recognition is automatic and can be wrong for unusual layouts or poor scans. You must review the result before using it, especially when the balance check is not shown as passed. The service does not replace bookkeeping or tax advice.

3. Plans and page limits

Without an account: 3 pages per calendar month, PDFs with a text layer only. Free account: 10 pages in 30 days. Paid plans: the number of pages stated at purchase per billing month; unused pages expire at the end of the period. Conversions that find no transactions are not counted.

Prices are monthly. As a small business under § 6 (1) 27 UStG (Austria) we charge no VAT.

4. Payment, term, cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew for one month at a time. You can cancel at any time in your account (Manage plan) with effect from the end of the current month. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated by Stripe.

5. Right of withdrawal for consumers

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the contract date. An email to support@relaystudio.org is enough. Access starts immediately after payment at your express request. If you agreed to this at checkout and confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, the right ends when the service begins (§ 18 (1) 11 FAGG). Without that agreement we refund the share for the unused time on withdrawal.

6. Acceptable use

Only upload documents you are allowed to process. Automated bulk requests, circumventing the page limits and attacks on the service are prohibited; we may suspend access on violation.

7. Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific level. We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and personal injury. For slight negligence we are not liable to businesses; to consumers only for breach of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable damage. Towards businesses, liability is in any case limited to the fees paid in the last 12 months.

8. Changes

We notify customers on a paid plan of changes to these terms or prices by email at least 30 days in advance. You may cancel before they take effect.

9. Law and venue

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Venue for businesses is Feldkirch, Austria.
