OFX or Xero CSV
OFX needs no column mapping. The CSV follows Xero's statement template (*Date, *Amount, Payee, Description, Reference). Dates are written day first, or month first if you switch the setting, so they match your Xero organisation.
Import in Xero
Open the bank account in Xero, choose Manage Account, then Import a Statement, and upload the file.
Before you import
The opening balance plus every transaction must equal the closing balance printed on the statement. If they disagree, the rows where the running balance breaks are marked so you can correct them first.
