Bank statement converter
PDF bank statement to QBO
Upload the statement PDF your bank sent and download a .qbo file for QuickBooks. Before you download, every transaction is added up and compared with the opening and closing balance printed on the statement.

Import the .qbo into QuickBooks
In QuickBooks Desktop, import it as a Web Connect file and pick the account to link. In QuickBooks Online, upload it from the banking page of the account. Every transaction carries a fixed ID built from its date, amount and text, so converting the same statement again gives the same IDs.
If QuickBooks refuses the bank
QuickBooks Desktop only accepts Web Connect files from banks it knows, named by a bank ID inside the file. The converter writes 3000 by default, which works for most imports. If your file is refused, open Settings below the download buttons, enter your bank's ID and download again.
Checked before it reaches your books
Copying a statement by hand loses rows at page breaks and flips signs. Here the opening balance plus every amount must equal the closing balance. If it does not, you see the difference and the rows where the running balance breaks, and can correct them before downloading.

Questions
- Does it work with scanned statements?
- Yes, with a free account. Scans are read with OCR and go through the same balance check.
- Which banks are supported?
- Statements that print dates, descriptions and amounts in a table, including US statements that list deposits, checks and withdrawals in separate sections. If yours does not convert, write to support@relaystudio.org.
- Is my statement stored?
- No. The file is processed in memory and discarded when the conversion finishes.
